AMAG 16 LAUNCH

AMAG 16 | ELEMENTAL

 

May 8 th, 2019

 

On May 8 of 2019, we joined Alejandro Aravena at his conference at Casa da Música to launch AMAG 16, about the office ELEMENTAL. 
It was a pleasure to be a part of this event where we had the amazing opportunity to launch our magazine with one of the architects in person.

#08 AIRES MATEUS architecture faculty in tournai

On December 14, 2017,  Manuel Aires Mateus join us at CASA DA ARQUITETURA for a conversation about his work, and to celebrate AMAG new office and BOOKSHOP opening with AMAG square COLLECTION book launch  #08 AIRES MATEUS architecture faculty of tournai.

AMAG SQUARE BOOKS COLLECTION LAUNCH

#07 ÁLVARO SIZA | FERREIRA ALVES casa beires

October 2017

 

On the 28th October 2017, there was the launch and presentation of the issue #07 of AMAG square books COLLECTION Álvaro Siza | Ferreira Alves casa beires, in Serralves’ auditorium.

The casual conversation was led by architect Nuno Grande, between the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, the photographer Ferreira Alves and the house owner Elzira Beires.

With full auditorium, the launch was a success and a wonderful time about an unexpected reality of the work of Álvaro Siza, by the look of Luís Ferreira Alves, 40 years later.

LAUNCH OF AMAG 09 JONATHAN WOOLF and SERGISON BATES

October 2016

 

On the 5th of October of 2016, there was the presentation and launch of the issue 09 of AMAG, Jonathan Woolf and Sergison Bates, in AA Bookshop in London.

There was a drinks reception with the presence of many of our readers and followers.

We also counted with the presence of Jonathan Sergison, Stephan Bates, Tony Fretton and James Rai, to celebrate AMAG new issue: AMAG 09!

LAUNCH OF #05 ÁLVARO SIZA CASA DE CHÁ DA BOA NOVA

 

July 2016

 

On the 1st of July of 2016, there was the presentation and launch of the 5th book of the square collection in Casa da Arquitectura, the architects Álvaro Siza Vieira, João Rapagão and Alexandre Alves Costa led the launch with a casual conversation. It was also possible for participants to visit the small book market that ocurred at the same time, in other pavillon.
The book published by AMAG was, again, reason to a friends architects meeting.

AMAG 4th ANNIVERSARY PARTY and AMAG 08 LAUNCH

 

March 2016

 

On March 4 of 2016, the AMAG celebrated its 4th anniversary and the launch of the AMAG 08. Thus, we proceeded to the preparation of all graphic elements and logistical aspects of the celebration. The event was held in the hollows of the Alfândega do Porto, a space divided in two stages  which the organization took advantage: a first moment dedicated to the reception and distribution of editorial AMAG material, and a second time, which in addition to a lounge and fun space, were presented several technical and graphic elements (printing plates and photographs) exposing the works that incorporate the content of the AMAG 08, from the architects office Aires Mateus also presented at the event.

OPEN DAY BOMBARDA

 

January 2016

Following the bimonthly Open Day event at Bombard block in the city of Porto, AMAG emerges once more as an intermediate character of culture and art. On January 16, 2016, the AMAG provided to the most varied visitors the opportunity to see the art collection that belongs to the portuguese art gallery Show me, where interleaved with it, were exposed several editions of the AMAG editorial production. The characteristic free nature of this concept, allowed a closer contact between the players, enriching each other: employees, visitors or even guests.

GA ARQUITECTOS & PAULA SANTOS

 

December 2015

 

On a brief visit of the chilean office GA architects to Portugal, the AMAG have colaborated in the  organisation of a conference in the Casa das Artes with the architect Paula Santos and an installation of GA architects in the building designed by the  her.
Again, the poster and flyers were graphically developed by AMAG too.
The conference had the moderation of the architect João Rapagão, consisted of a short presentation of projects by each of the offices, followed by a debate.
Following the conference, at Rua Miguel Bombarda, was presented the installation developed by the chilean office that was consisted of video projections on the windows of the building facades.

LAUNCH OF AMAG 04

VINCENT VAN DUYSEN

This AMAG 04 launch happened in COPYRIGHT Art & Architecture Bookstore in Blegium.

Along with the presence and presentation speech, AMAGhad the pleasure of the company of its essay's writers: Marc Dubois, Manuel Aires Mateus and José Manuel Pedreirinho.

AMAG BOOKS SQUARE COLLECTION LAUNCH

#01 AIRES MATEUS casa em melides

 

May 2012

 

In  the presentation, in the auditorium of the House of Arts, the architect Manuel Aires Mateus led the launch of the book House in Melides, the first of Square Collection of AMAG. In casual conversation, with the participation of Juan Rodriguez photographer, author of the book photographs, and Architect José Manuel Pedreirinho, the architect described the project, from concept to construction. It was also possible for participants to see the exhibition of photographs and selected models of the presented work.
The book published by AMAG was, again, reason to a friends architects meeting.

AMAG PUBLIC PRESENTATION 

 

December 2011

 

The first AMAG event takes place on December 12, 2011 and is the public presentation of the magazine and the launch of the first issue. The AMAG 01 magazine is dedicated to the work of Portuguese architects Aires Mateus. The event takes place at Casa da Música in Porto, and with the presence of Manuel Aires Mateus. Conference format and the room filled, the architect talks about the projects that took place in this first issue of the magazine. In conversation with the architect José Manuel Pedreirinho was held still a video conference with architect Tony Freton. In the end, the audience have been close by the architect to autographing their magazines.
